Harvard Drug Group Leadership Team

How We Got Here

1967: Nathan Brodie founds Great Lakes Wholesale Drug, a short-line pharmaceutical wholesaler.

1988: Great Lakes Wholesale was purchased from the Brodie Family and the Harvard Division was formed. The new owners place an emphasis on a product line featuring generics and a full-line of brands.

1993: Great Lakes acquires Logen Pharmaceuticals based in Florida and New York. The company sold brands under the PDQ wholesale name.

1995: Great Lakes acquires Major Pharmaceuticals, a generic distributor focused on their own private-label products.

1997: The Harvard Drug Group LLC is formed, encompassing all companies under one name and identity.

2004: Harvard consolidates systems and distribution facilities and launches web-based ordering vehicle.

2006: Harvard is recapitalized by H.I.G. Capital and acquires RS Veterinary Supply to enlarge its existing veterinary supply product line and sales force.

2007: Harvard acquires Expert-Med and Letco, expanding and diversifying the Company's Retail segment into home health care and compounded pharmaceuticals.

2009: Harvard acquires Hawkins Pharmaceutical Compounding Division to enlarge its existing compounded pharmaceutical lines.

2010: Harvard is recapitalized by Court Square Capital Partners and acquires Great Western Animal Health and Spectrum Rx Compounding Division to enlarge its existing veterinary and compounded product offerings.

Today: The Harvard Drug Group is comprised of Major Pharmaceuticals, Wholesaler & Distributor, Retail Pharmacy, Medical, Compounding, and Veterinary Sales. We will continue to expand our product offerings and services.
